Just winter beans left but heavy land too sticky on top to drill and won't get any drier now. When the going gets tough, go old skool! Many a good crop of beans has been broadcast and ploughed in
What are you doing?
Triple mowers!?Cutting winfred fodder rape... may have some left to bale
[/QUOTE]must be nice to have ground like that. I put my drill on yesterday but the ground is only dry on top so if I just knock the top I don't get rid of the wheel marks and the drill can't penetrate and if I drop it in it just stirs up a whole lot of carp and it won't drill but I don't have wide tyres or duals to help with this problem.View attachment 914451
Starting to think spring barley now.
I wish! Tractor has barely enough power for 2! Only one here because front is missing swath boards. Should have taken conditioner off really, but it cut it at 1/2 pto speed without shredding the crop so drove on.Triple mowers!?

Are you going to bale it? Any time I've seen rape baled it's turned to dung
Yeah baling tomorrow. Not done it before but it'll be fed as part of mix fairly quickly. My guess is it'll be a stinky slimy mess but cows will love it. Did plan to graze it but it's a wet ish off field with no water so can't be bothered to carry bales and water and move a fence... and the forecast looks wet!Are you going to bale it?
