This calf was waiting for me this morning and then went to start a grain store foundation’s

Check weigh of 300 lambs and pretty pleased with how they are going considering the lack of rain. All out of Lleyn ewes and mist to Charolaise rams.

top weight 37kg for a late Feb born lamb. Hand full of lambs doing 750gr a day which amazes me

just a bit of whole oats through 3 in 1 feeders. Taking about 100gr a day per head.

no idea really. No sign of a wound and an odd place really.

Jabbed it and gave a big dose of ab’s.

Only time I’ve had ones like that in a calf was a dirty little black thorn tip it filled up a couple times until I found it

To be honest I don’t really know? obviously an infection, I mind a Simental heifer I had with a large abscess on it jaw would not eat so I operated with a bigger knife than that inside 2 days cudding away like a new one.

Better out than in I say I have a list of abscess story’s but not everyone's cup of tea.

The Day was going as normal let's replace sh*ged fencing, then managed to break the main pin(user error) that slews machine around decided to take the machine off on-site to facilitate repair then it all turns to sh*t.

The wife not happy managed to appease her with red wine and Maltesers.
