Found it at the bottom of a a junk bucketThey used to give out enamel badges - "The lucky cow " written on them and were quite in demand . If I can find one - I'm sure I will have one somewhere - I'll post a pic. They were

Rear suspension on pick up has suddenly had a boost.
Both now for sale, if anyone wants them they can borrow the trailer to take them away
This morning was horrendous. 3am no dew at all and seeing the overnight temps for next 6 days, none likely. Spent more time out of tractor cleaning throat where net feeds in and cutting net when it did due to material being caught between knife. None of which impressed me as I'm weak with stomach cramps ATM .That brings back memories of my time in oz! Baling at night because it was too hot and dry through the day! Unheard of over here!! I remember baling till about 11am and the hay just started shattering and going like chaff
I only have one day off a week
"Rare collectors item", Get it on EBay at £500Knew I would find one . It must be many many years since this saw the light of day . Found it at the bottom of a a junk bucket
They hadn't even bothered to tell the poor chap what was wrong with his tractor! Just stripped it and fudged off although the bloke has a reputation for pulling stuff to bits then never putting it back together.Ha!! Classic!!! Prop just droped down, sump still on the floor!!! Done a few bits and bobs in similar situations. The best was a problematic gearbox after a repair!! Split tractor, front cover off expecting a litre or so of oil into bucket. Out came some spring, circlips, half a synchro and clutch pack plates!!!!
personally, if I was the client I'd publish the proveable facts of his "work" widelyThey hadn't even bothered to tell the poor chap what was wrong with his tractor! Just stripped it and fudged off although the bloke has a reputation for pulling stuff to bits then never putting it back together.
Personally I wouldn't have even offered him the work.
The guy is well known in the area for leaving stuff in bits these days, he is good at getting people up and running if it's a couple of hours of a job and straight forward fix but if it needs parts he's not interested anymore.personally, if I was the client I'd publish the proveable facts of his "work" widely
I wish!"Rare collectors item", Get it on EBay at £500

Burrell's of Haxey were still "running" something similar upto their demise (Austin M)......Pop used to say those vans were their demise as the fitter had to mend the van before he could come out to the call out...The best exhibit for me was this
It's got me thinking....
