All I want is a 10/12 plate Arion 640 with low hours,front links,650/540 wheels and 50k box for under £30k 😂😂
I know of a 13 plate Arion 630 Cebis. Cant remember the hours exactly but roughly 3500, front links, tyres as above, only 40k box though. Would be around £35k ish I think. Used to be my main tractor at my previous job.

A weekend of very mixed feelings.

This weekend I’ve sent away many TwoMills cattle to lovely new owners and helped sell foundation stock for 2 new East Anglian breeding homes and saw to it that my friends who bought three TwoMills heifers got loaded away after being back with me for bulling ; a great genetics exercise with them having one Riggit Galloway, one GCS red heifer and one White Galloway.

The cattle leaving me were as a result of a deal to buy my Riggit herd being reneged on after 10 months and after me (stupidly) patiently supporting them get through various hurdles their end.
I sold my champion bull away to a super home after PDing my herd (now at my expense bless them) - at least he’s gone to cover more cows than me anyway for the good of the breed .

I then had my Beltie bull go infertile (I won’t go in to why .....) and then I learned I was to lose part of my grazing after 12 years as my landlord is setting up their own herd (fair enough if true but a tad more than a month’s notice would have been handy as I outwinter one bull and cow group there).

Along the way I’ve had some fantastic support from many cattle friends who are my rock. I know an exceptionally successful Scottish breeder who regrets many of her sales and has been known to buy them back.

Some things fall in to place; I started with my belts by asking about a Stonehouse bull calf that took my eye ; it had first refusal with someone else so I asked them first and was told there were plenty of other bulls elsewhere and the buying decision hadn’t been made yet! So I ended up buying Stonehouse cows instead. They’ve done well for me .

I feel I should give myself a big pat on the back for being the more honourable to my buyers as I could easily have reneged on selling a Dunay Tavish sired heifer or my White Riggit from genes no longer in my Herd. But I didn’t and I will take a quiet inner comfort from doing the right thing and being fair when I’d done a deal. Not many would sell some of their best . I shall take quiet comfort knowing my cattle have gone to good homes and I can get to see them and help as their herds expand

Happily one of my new young buyers helped introduce me to someone with more local grazing so I can rebuild and my wingman and cheerleader’s worked his socks off all weekend too

Thank you. I took the photos as much because Freddie is really coming in to his own helping, remembering things for me and being a great cheerer upper !!

Funny my dad, who will be 82 next April, was just saying this about my wee boy, only 7, but becoming useful when changing cattle, feeding and bedding calves and the likes. Even helped put tyres on the silo this year, will try to get plenty of work out of him before he starts wanting paid:ROFLMAO:
