This yard tractor isn’t quite as nimble as my petit Renault.

The last weekend of April!! Where has this year gone, and will the weather Gods bring us a wee dram of water at some point in the not-too-distant future? We have been hearing quite a few comments lately about how dry it's been. Had a quick check on the interweb this morning and apparently the average rainfall for April in the Stratford area is around 58mm. I followed this up with a brief chat with our weather oracle and to his dismay he seems to think we have not had 5mm in April!

Been a bit of a strange week this week for some reason. The lads have been busy, not darting here, there and everywhere, a nice tidy job moving and levelling soils and stockpiles for our neighbour. King Kev, Cool Hand Luke and Paul, loading, moving and levelling, job went really well and the bit we were asked to move has been done for now.

Dilly Bob has still been painting and welding the layers for the 15/15. Sounds a bit harsh when I say it like that as he has also been servicing vehicles, fixing his welder (should not have broken it in the first place then should he?), popping around the estate to get steel formed, generally busy bodying about. Not too much busy bodying that he could not top up his breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea with biscuits though. He even had the audacity to come in today and say "blimey, someone has given that tin a pounding" as he was calmly tucking 4 rich teas into his mouth and 7 into his pocket.

We are back over Kenilworth way after the Bank Holiday weekend to carry on with the HS2 works. I know I said earlier we could do with a bit of rain. . . if it must come, can it be in the evening between 11pm and 3am please, just give it time to dry up before we get on site. :)

Anyway lads, been a good week, as always thank you all for the hard work and keeping me sane (ish). Have a tip top weekend and see you all on Tuesday to crack on again.
