I have some one coming in next week or so to replace a slab of concrete that's been down since 1968 , hardly 4 inch thick, lumps keep coming out and going to damage tire before long , I was going to dig out and leave it for my son's mates to do the hard bit which was planned before my wrist played up , anyway mate down the road is retaired and used to drive diggers come up as I can't really use left arm at moment so he dug out which I drove JCB to cart stuff away as can do that with right hand.
You misspelt 'retired' and I read it as something else to begin with and thought what a nice thing to call your mate down the road. 🤣

Can only plough one way though..too wet to go up the bank

Sympathies with the PMR; I missed out that version initially and went straight to the full blown GCA. Luckily spotted in time before I went blind. Still get flare ups of PMR 5 years later, still taking the steroids but have manged to get them down to a low dose, apart from hitting it hard when I get a flare up. Exhausts you doesn't it? Quite apart form the pain.
whats GCA and how does it make you blind? sounds scary

Field walking spring barley this morning. Planet drilled 20 days ago is mostly emerged OK.

The next patch drilled 19 days ago is better.

The same field has a swamp in the corner which hasn't changed in the last month.
IMG_20240412_090509.jpg

The springs emerging mid field are worse now than when drilled.
IMG_20240412_085217.jpg

This was drilled 10 days ago and is just emerging.
IMG_20240412_081639.jpg

Tide not gone out yet.
IMG_20240412_083430.jpg

The final field had two undrillable areas and a very boggy headland which hasn't drained since drilling even though it's quite stoney.

Header knife drive pulley a bit worn. Should look like the sprocket internally.

Think it was 2017 when I couldn't move because of the pain that just struck me overnight went about 10 days in agony as couldn't see a Dr back then but when I did see one they put me on 14mg of steroids and some antiinflammatory pills and then had regular blood tests and check ups and along come COVID and nothing really happened doing that spell and same today, was down to 2mg steroids but up on 3 at moment to see if it will hold it, they don't won't me to Go to high as got to wean down again.yes it can exhaust you and the pain at times is unbearable.

Quite a pleasant day really. Not as mild as yesterday, but fine. Caught, marked and ringed everything up to date, and tipped them into the 'lambed' field.
Did my rounds after milking whilst management had a do at dropping the lagoon with the umbilical (and still is). It's wet apparently 🫣

Found a ewe and lamb (marked as a twin so thought I was going to have to try catching it 🙄) but heard a baa in the distance. Here you are 😍

A fair way from mum 🤨

Success!

Until she barrel rolled it down the hill........twice 🤬
Grabbed it and chucked it in the shed after a bottle.

Found 2 more singles 👍 then finally, one pushing one out, but struggling. Managed to grab a lamb leg before she jumped up, but sadly it was dead.
What do you know? I've got just the thing for you 😅

Now waiting for a call to stop the pump and pick management up, and I think the kid's pet sheep, Freda is starting lambing, so better have a look at that 🫣
