Think I’m going soft. We usually take a triplet lamb off, both to ease the pressure on the ewe and to give us a few bottle fed lambs for our Lambing Sunday event this weekend, but do I really want to split these up?

Preparation for re-sheeting to carry solar panels. Asbestos cement and oversheeting were too heavy for the roof trusses and purlins with the added weight of panels. Cows only in for a snack of buffer feed, so we were able to start this week. We are hoping to get the PV up so when we replace the digester roof we will still have some electricity home made.

Had a cuppa and a chat with Andy , called in at Ben Burgess Coates on the way back picked up a new ladder for my sprayer ( I bent the last one ) with my wheel not my weight ! Another coffee with my BB salesman then back home , sprayer back on ready for the next spraying marathon ☹️☹️ . Recs for 935ac and the weather looks crap .

Some may remember me saying that I was going to get my old HZJ75 Toyota ( 1998 ) road registered again & put it back to work.
Been unregistered since 2019, but cars don’t like sitting still for too long. A few jobs to get it to pass its roadworthy again, one of the main ones was replacing all the shackle rubbers / bushes in the suspension. Less than $100 in bushes ( 6 for each corner ) & a few hours labour, all sweet. Next major item was new tyres, as sitting in the open for 4 years didn’t do them many favours.
The original tyre size in these was 7.50 x 16, the modern equivalent size is 225 / 95r 16, which is standard fitment on new 79 series Toyotas

however - a LOT of buyers of new 79’s immediately replace the steel rims & “cheese cutter” tyres with fancy alloy rims ( 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤣 ) & wider tyres.

So . . . the local tyre dealer has a container full of new second hand 225/95r 16 tyres that have come straight from the Toyota dealer.
New price of these tyres are well over $300 each - they are selling these for $80 + fitting costs 👍

Looking good! Who have you got to install the panels?? Can recommend a local firm if needed. Cheers
