The OH wanted some help with planting a hedge around garden so I said I would dig in front and loosen the soil !

House is 380 yr old ,,the barns were 200 ,,if they had been listed ,,they wouldnt have been aloud to flaten them

At home trying to find source of penetrating damp...

Why do people try and cover up old stone walls with cement and plaster expecting it to let the old house breathe, also, I think the outside pointing is potentially cement based and not lime. (anyone know how I can tell by testing as I understand you can get pigments for lime to colour it grey)

Wall is soaking and not breathing, hence the ingress of moisture, as the old lime mortar in between stone is saturated to the point it can hold no more water. The wall is roughly 2 feet thick

Played game with friend using a "virtual tabletop". And streamed the game live for spectators - one person watched!

I had a tooth thing going on and that got canned, staff redployed, take two asprin and come back later job .....
