Too late for autumn spray?

Depends what spray you are meaning really. What crop? Chemicals to be used?

If it's blackgrass and it's already there. Then yes it's too late.

Put some cyper on today, right or wrong, it is still very mild and late sown crops are now as forward as early ones in a "normal" year.

Is this based upon a sum of degree days being reached meaning seed treatment effects will have worn off, or are you seeing visible damage to plants?

Will you actually see damage from insects in cereals now? Too late for gout fly control, it's surely just about BYDV. Aphid counts are very low but they will still be flying.

There's only 'autumn' and 'spring' timings because it's assumed winter is a cut-off and nothing is done then. If the weather & crop conditions are OK and the growth stage conditions are followed then you carry on, surely?

Well got it done, only 8 acres for someone and it was shall we say "soft" would have been fun using autosteer as I was going sideways a lot of the time. Now looking forward to next summer bouncing over the ruts
