Has anyone made up a tool for undoing Class table auger retracting finger lock nuts, as so difficult to undo !!!
I think a combine fitter had welded a 24mm socket on to the end of a length of pipe and the other end welded a 1/2drive in to the pipe. Have any of you made such a tool,I think I will have to drill the centre of the 24mm socket out to allow the stub of the broken off tine to slid through and up the pipe.

I made a similar tool for the long threaded belt adjusters on the combime. Cut a deep socket in half and weld a piece of pipe between the two pieces. +

Tools like you have made can make a frustrating job slightly less frustrating when the machine breaks down on a hot day and the machine is hot from being in work. Thanks again.

That’s exactly what I did. 24mm socket with a piece of tube in the middle. I’m sure you can work it out but I’d be happy to take a photo of mine on Monday when I’m back at work.
