Topper in trouble

Borrowed the neighbours topper only to be told that it has chewed up the belts for the umpteenth time, and could I take a look at it.
Any idea how the end locking collar is removed?
Too tight to get puller arms behind the flange, was thinking of making a pulling plate because the 3 ‘dirty’ holes reminded me of drum brake removal, but they are blind.
Hell of a noise when its running, and there are metal filings appearing.

Thanks for the prompt replies, I’ll bolt my coffee down and report back shortly
Always amazes me it drives purely on friction created by the taper sleeve. There’s no key.

It’s a 3 piece system. Insert and outer wedges tiger sit in the parallel centre of the pulley.

In serving picture of looks like the centre boss might have been spinning inside the pulley

I’m back! You chaps are very good…
@Dave W
Came off a little too easily?
Nasty wear on the inner face of the pulley.
Will all 3 bits need replacing?
What about the shaft damage? ☹️

I would clean it all up and reassemble.
The Allen bolts should be dogged up and as long as the inner flange isn’t up to the centre boss it should be ok.
If the flange is touching the inner then it indicates it’s run out of travel and needs replacing.
You can buy the 2 tapered centre pieces pretty cheap though. They’re not a KV part

Little collar has serious wear, bearing feels fine @Macsky.
Any tips on reassembling @Dave W ?
Put the outer taper part in the pulley flush to the front face. Then loosely slide the centre in and start the bolts. Then slide on shaft. Put a straight edge down from the top pulley and align the bottom one with it. Got practice to slide it about 5mm further on before final tightening as it will come back as it’s tightened.
then do the Allen bolts up

The little bushing is ruined, but cheap, get a new one. The shaft is messed up, but I bet it works fine with no further problems for the life of the machine. Use a locktite bearing compound and tighten it to the limit of those five little bolts. Smack the head of each bolt, and the bushing, and tighten again.

Back together, didn’t have a long enough straight edge so used a piece of butchers string.
Struggled to get the pulley inline and stay in line because as you tightened one bolt, it pulled the pulley out of alignment the opposite side, so you tightened the bolt on the opposite side to square it up and so it went on until all the bolts were nipped up. One final check for alignment and then one final tightening of all the bolts.
As you can see, apologies for the crap picture, the pulley is now well away from the bolts that it was originally rubbing against, looks like its a good half belt further out which might have been the reason it kept chewing belts?
Anyway, the owner has ordered new parts, but in the meantime I’m getting on with the jobs I borrowed it for.
Many thanks to all who took the trouble to help.
