Situation Vacant Tractor driver wanted on Hertfordshire farm

Job description
A and D Mackay are looking to recruit a skilled arable operator to work on a 1000Ha farm in Hertfordshire. The role would include spraying, combine driving and some drilling. It would also include maintaining all machinery and managing the yard throughout the year – liasing with grain hauliers etc… The farm also has a sheep enterprise of 1000 breeding ewes, some help would be expected on this outside of peak periods. The successful candidate will have relevant experience on arable farms and is likely to hold a current NROSO membership. Person Description
The successful candidate will be progressive and innovative with experience working on arable farms in the past. They will be keen to learn new skills and open to new ideas. They will be efficient with their time and that of others working under them. They will attend a meeting every Monday morning with the rest of the farm team to discuss the coming week and take an active role in planning the order of work. They will take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy yard. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to play a key role in the future of our business as we adopt a min till/direct drilling approach to crop establishment. Pa1/2 and forklift certificates would be an advantage but training could be given to the right candidate.
