Seems about right. Just added a tractor valued at £66,000 and that’s cost £920 fully comp.

County Insurance, had a friend who got a similar quote from the NFU but with County only paid around £400 from memory

That is ridiculous.just moved to NFU 6 months ago,a new £50k tractor is costing me £280 fully comp including contracting. It is part of a £3k a year package tho, they beat my existing insurer by a distance, and were told in no uncertain terms if it goes up by more than 2% this year they would lose it(barring a big claim)

Very similar to mine but NFU.
I had been with the nfu for years and they had been the cheapest I could find, I hadnt made a claim for 20 years and then they refused to pay out on one as they said I wasnt covered despite me specifically asking for the cover they refused to pay out, that was bad enough but the arrogant attitude of the local man and his team really annoyed me, I complained tothe area office and they backed me up and paid out plus a small amount because of the way I had been treated, local office then started pushing the premiums up and up, so changed to mole and they now have all the insurances, no doubt will need toshop around as loyalty doesnt seem to get rewarded

Hi if you would like me to do a search of the market for you then drop me a message or an email [email protected]. I work as an independent agricultural broker so can access all insurers such as BIB, AIUA, Farmweb, Ifarm, Farmsure, Aviva and others on your behalf.
Then I am here for you in the event of a claim too.
