4972 actually. But that may allegedly include wheelbarrows. That was when JD sold 4734 for the year , what happened to them
OK there's two points to take away here:
1. The overall market rose quite substantially from '16 to '17 and so did Valtra's market share, so they took home a bigger slice of a bigger pie.
2. The size of the market in '18 (for tractors > 50 hp) was pretty much line-ball with '17
So for Valtra to have "better figures" in 2018 they would solely have to do it from increasing market share. All AGCO brands had a better market share in '17 than '16. The best was 'poor old' Massey which had a massive jump.
The 2011 figures are historically interesting, because the overall market was much bigger (about 40% bigger) than in 2016, Valtra's market share was actually much bigger then too. It's only recently recovered to those level in 2017.
AGCO have a nice debt pilethey must be wishing they had as deep pockets as Agco
Had to laugh at thatLooks like the green is better here.
Kubotas profit is more than Classes turn over. There are a massive companyAGCO have a nice debt pile
Kubota and JD are the kiddies sitting on a cash pile.
...and to be fair most of that is generated through their construction equipment and small/utility tractor/groundcare sales.Kubotas profit is more than Classes turn over. There are a massive company
Utter tosh Phil! Have you been spending to long in the sauna at Bedford lodge again!I remember chatting to a very well known salesman here in east Anglia and he informed me that some Deere dealers even included wheelbarrow sales in their tractor figures.
New Holland CASE had just introduced new machines in 2016/17 which are normally more expensive than late models from their previous ranges in 2015 which would explain their drop off, and they don't sell branded wheelbarrows
Shhh don’t tell the Dr, we never hear the end of it.....Looks like the green is better here.

The figures I read some where would be for 3 years ago.Not sure that’s right .....
Kubota expected to report a profit for 2018 of 145 billion yen, which is about 1.16 billion euro. Claas just reported that their turnover for 2017/18 was 3.83 billion euro.
So if Claas made 40% on each unit they wouldn't be far behind Kubota. Not sure that’s right .....

Gap between agco and John Deere very closeInteresting update.
https://www.agriland.ie/farming-new...w-tractors-in-the-uk-come-from-just-3-giants/
Interesting to note:
Kubota sold 24% the figure of John Deere and 6.9% overall.
Translating into almost twice the figure of Claas tractors sold and over three times the number of Deutz.
By comparison JCB sold just 8% the figure of John Deere and 2.4% overall.

Takes all 3 of them and they still can't sell more says a lot really ....Gap between agco and John Deere very close
