way worse i'm affraid, it needs taken apart to fix a round hole that's not round anymore, in the casing. It's making it loose pressure when 4wd is dissengaged. if 4wd is on, then there's no problem. Is it a power supply issue or a solenoid gone?
It's just the 4wd selonoid hopefully. Cheap and easy to fix. They break down overtime and get stuck on. Even this idiot did it in 5mins.i have a JD 7230 tractor that is stuck in 4wd. it will need stripping appart to fix the issue, what harm will it do if i drive it like this for a while? how fast can i drive it on asphalt?
Could you remove the prop shaft until it's doneway worse i'm affraid, it needs taken apart to fix a round hole that's not round anymore, in the casing. It's making it loose pressure when 4wd is dissengaged. if 4wd is on, then there's no problem.
it's not the solenoid, it can't be properly fixed without stripping the whole backend appart. It's just the 4wd selonoid hopefully. Cheap and easy to fix. They break down overtime and get stuck on. Even this idiot did it in 5mins.

If its wearing the casting, that means there are metal filings going round the gearbox and hydraulics. If thats the case stop using it right away or risk doing many thousands of pounds worth of damage.it's not the solenoid, it can't be properly fixed without stripping the whole backend appart.
i could but then it will be usseles for field work. i can't have it fixed for a while.
It's summer tractors didn't have 4wd until the late seventies we survived even in winterit's not the solenoid, it can't be properly fixed without stripping the whole backend appart.

Not this summer....It's summer tractors didn't have 4wd until the late seventies we survived even in winter
Current tractors are built to rely on 4wd, they are useless in field without it.It's summer tractors didn't have 4wd until the late seventies we survived even in winter
