Trailer draw bar with suspension or without

Looking at a new bale trailer for next year. Been told that if the tractor has suspension and cab suspension you will get a better ride if the trailer has no draw bar suspension. Is this true and what are people's experiences?

Any advice much appreciated

Have both and never notice any difference myself but use fastracs so maybe why, when I bought a tanker they wanted another 1k for sprung db specked it without to save money but came with it anyway, so if you not botherd spec without and you might get lucky.

Get the trailer on air suspension then you don't need a spring drawbar. Sold a few trailers like this over the years.

Buy an old artic trailer for £700, and a dolley.(y)
Singlehandedly trying to educate folks for when subsidy ends.....:ROFLMAO:

Would it be advisable to spec sprung drawbar on a trailer with rocking beam axles?

I have a grain trailer with a sprung drawbar and rocking beam axles. It's not a bad compromise. Useful if you work a lot of steep banks sideways but not as good on the road as sprung axles and drawbar.
Personally I wouldn't have a trailer without a sprung drawbar.

Hmm I didn't think about that, how easy are they for hitching an unhitching?

No more difficult than a normal hitch, just a lot safer and there's no movement between tractor and trailer, and no wear.
Rubber block drawbar suspension is fine as it just reduces any shock but I've found leaf spring drawbars can start to bounce sometimes.

How much ?:greedy:
If the conversion is professional....then a good buy IMO.
It'll be stronger than an agri trailer. It will have been well maintained whilst it was on the road. Maintenance will have lapsed since it began it's new life as a farm trailer however.......
