Currently using an ez steer. Has anyone upgraded to an ez pilot and if so do they find it any better ?
Does it find the next track easier etc.
Just interested in user views on the ez pilot and how people have been getting on with them.
Would be using with a 750 screen and on a massey 6495. (cant seem to find any pictures of ez pilot on mf 6400 range)

I had a ez steer on loan for six months, and now have an ez pilot, I don't think you'll see much difference in use just tidier in the cab and no trapped fingers.

We have ez pilot on a t7050 it is really uncomfortable to drive because of sticking out steering wheel. Driving position all wrong now. Drove a nh demo tractor last week and much better. Get screen mounted on rh frame. Ours is in rh footwell and vision down that side is crap and further adds to claustrophobic feeling in cab.

Does a good job of keeping tractor in a straight line though.

We had a ez pilot on a massey 6490 for the last two years, it was using the original steering wheel and it worked really well but only snag was that it makes steering wheel very high so couldn't use dyna shift lever while hand on wheel.

Can't comment on Ez steer but I have Ez pilot on my Fastrac, get the Trimble wheel it doesn't alter the driving position. I have the screen mounted close to the armrest, love it.

Trimble wheel solves that. Works really well I find.

What massey was it on. Did you find the trimble wheel a bit clumsy as it looks a lot thicker. Did you bother with the spinning handle on the wheel?

How much extra was trimble steering wheel steevo?

Pretty sure you need to specify if you are using original wheel or trimble wheel at time of ordering as platform kit is slightly different to fit each wheel. Cost wise is about the same.(including trimble wheel)

Interesting you say that though not sure how true it is. I was quoted at the time a price, and the Trimble wheel was an optional extra if I chose to take it and pay for it. If not, they weren't fussed.

Swap our kit between several machines, and when the Pilot isn't fitted, the original wheel goes back on for "normal" use as it was before. Platform kit remains fitted but it doesn't post a problem.
