Trimmer for dirty cattle

We never clip any fat cattle now, they are sent as they are clean or dirty and if need clipping the plant does it, far too dangerous imo to be doing it and also for safety reasons you need two people present when clipping, takes 25 mins on average so x2 people= 50 minutes ( by the time you get them out, up the race/ clip/ back in again and setting machine up/down etc ) so that is £16/ head, normally the odd one gets clipped at the plant and never been charged more than £5 but normally £3/ head.

Guy helps me 2 days a week, spends other days on a big fattening unit in next village, would fatten 1000s, continentals barely trim but angus im told love to lay in feed passage and he trims plenty, though liberal with straw, they have one each side of beast and reckon odd continental a couple to 5 mis, angus can be 5 mins, have to dip sheep shearers with a wide comb in oil at least every 20 seconds, he does my odd cull cow that needs a bit of trim, he is 20 years my senior at 60, but makes light work of it compared to me
