Tru-Test 250kg suspension weigh cell

The cable for the suspension weigh cell on our sheep weigh crate got damaged recently. I contact Datamars the find out if the cable can be repaired but unfortunately that does not appear to be possible.

Anyone got a source for a well priced replacement? Been quoted £120 ex VAT for like for like replacement.

Not sure how easy it would be to weatherproof but as long as there's enough length surely it's just a case of stripping back and joining the same coloured wires? Our crate has a cell either end and they're just joined in a junction box with a small "chocolate bar" connector strip.

Worth a try anyway - not much to lose.

I tried that already but unfortunately did not work. The wires are very fine. Quite tricky to crimp connect without doing damage.
