Trusted plant machinery dealers

Re trusted plant dealers,

Anyone care to pass comment on

RJ and KD McLean

A deafening silence will tell me all I need to know.

Since I dont fancy travelling to Dorset, and back, needlessly.

I asked about an East Yorkshire plant sales outfit on here a couple o year ago,
and stupidly failed to realize the telling significance of the deafening silence,
which in hindsight was Quite Flattering to the firm concerned.
or
As my mother used to attempt to advise;
"If you have nothing good to say, say nothing".

P.S.
I also larned it was safer to stay away from the keyboard when Gin was my tonic and my inspiration.

Bought a 14 ton off Lloyd’s at Carlisle and very honest and straight to deal with. But spoke to Nelson green before that and again would have been happy giving them hard earned money. Gleneden plant had a good selection and seemed fair. Looked at a machine at sj hall and they were not worth the time I wasted looking at a 7500 hour machine that was advertised as 4000 hours or told it had had a bad respray! Those guys are best avoided I think.

I warmed to Fenland Tractors a few year ago, when I was in the process of buying a wee crawler, sounded totally genuine and non-pushy on the phone.
Is the father or son Martyn?, from very hazy recall.
But sounded absolutely sound & with time for an NI based track-kicker, (well not entirely a track kicker, cos I did buy elsewhere, but only because Fenland had nowt suitable).

As someone else mentioned Nelson Green may have good stuff, it is his superb prices that trouble me.

Anyway looked at a couple of Takeuchi's today, at a Takuchi dealer, the salesperson was very keen to sell me a 2008 FR 180,
cept despite being v fresh appearance wise with just over 6000 hours showing, it failed to lift the tracks off the ground while belching black reek.
But!
Apparently a service will sort that out . . . they must use that super-synthetic oil or sommat.
cheers

Feel free to give me a ring if you want but my top two are JMJ Plant at Potten or Jaybee plant near stroud. There is a few around Luton that I would give a wide berth,
Was going to start a new thread but came across this one. Seen a machine at a dealer in Luton, beginning with a W (dealer not the machine). Care to comment if good, bad (or ugly) on their reputation. Would save me either a trip down their or trying to get someone else to go and view.
TIA

but there will be no warranty

If you want / need warranty then pay a bit more
Euros have been good to me so far but my brother checks the machines over meticulously before I bid
