TS110 steering rams

Having trouble trying to dismantle my steering rams on a new Holland TS110 to replace seals. The end cap on the cylinder is what I’m trying to screw off. It turns but it won’t actually screw out from cylinder. Is there something I’m doing wrong
Thanks

The gland nut isn't actually screwed into the cylinder but is screwed onto the inner cylinder gland. You might need oil pressure against the gland to stop it turning with the lock nut. If and when you get the nut off, you'll need to push the gland back into the cylinder and then remove a lock ring from the inside the end of the cylinder which will then let you pull the rod etc out.

The inner gland in aluminium and the nut is steel and will probably feck the aluminium threads when you try to un screw it. When I did mine I got reman New Holland cylinders for about € 115 each I think. The eye bearings come new in them also.
