TS260 Brakes

Hello,

On my Matbro TS260 I have no power to the brake lights?

One pressure switch operates correctly when the foot pedal is depressed (comes off open circuit), but the rear one stays open circuit. By linking that switch out, the brake lights work (continuously as I am using a wire jumper to check), so was wondering if these switches re still available or need to go for another kind. I assume they are single pole pressure switches - but not sure of the thread etc - do you stock these @ACEngineering or know where I could source them?

Not sure why but didnt get a notification from your tag?

Anyway both switches are the same. One is for brake lights one is for dumping transmission with brakes if you have it switch on via the rocker switch on dash.

If you dont use the trans dump on pedal which most people dont then just swap the wires from one switch to the other.

But if you want a new one I might have one knocking about or they should still be easy to buy. Same brake switches on almost every matbro model in the 90's

Hi Ace,

Thanks for the input.

The rear one (top one in photo), when I link across terminals operates the lights, so am I right path to say its knackered, therefore replace?

Yes its knackered, swap wires to the other one, will still drive fine just dump with brakes wont work but for most people that dont matter as its horrible to use when switched on anyway.

The dump with brakes - is that when the vehicle feels it has lost all drive when applying the brakes (can't explain it very well) when the switch is on?
