We have nearly got a refurbishment of the office done. I am planning on sticking a tv on a wall so I can watch the news etc. If I want to be able to connect it up to either a desktop or an iPad to make it easier to discuss something more easily, do I need to get a hdmi type cable hardwired in so I can connect the desktop up?

Cheers

If you put a hdmi cable in you would be able to run it as a second screen. Also I have a lightning to hdmi adapter cable which is really handy to get my iPad on a big screen.

Most new smart tv’s will have screen mirroring standard (Samsung’s and LG certainly do).

You won’t need any cables or extra bits, just connect the tv to the same network as the pc or iPad etc

Thanks all. I’ll try and get a tv sorted is week.
If you're running Apple iPads etc, then just check the TV your getting is AirPlay 2 enabled. Then just stream your phone/tablet/laptop screen to the telly over your WiFi. No cables required.

Starter for 10. See compatibility list here:
