Hi, I’m not technophobe so be gentle. I’ve got an old (got to be 12yrs) panasonic 50 inch plasma tv sat in my loft at home. I’d like to put it in the tea room at work but there’s no tv aerial anywhere near. We do have Wi-fi though. What’s the cheapest and simplest way of getting some channels on that tv? I haven’t tried it with this tv but my experience of mobile tv aerials is that they are all poor so I’d want to do this via Wi-fi.

Not sure on the best way but an amazon fire stick would let you watch on demand tv. EDIT. actually maybe not work as would need to have an hdmi socket

Second hand freesat box off eBay (buy a Humax) and a dish out of a skip would be best and cheapest.

Indoor aerials aren’t always bad. For a while as a student my tv worked ok with only a large paperclip as an aerial!!
It’s got a hdmi socket.
We stopped paying tv licenses a while ago as we never watch live tv anyway.

Well a firestick would work well then. But you do need a tv licence a present even for catch up tv

If it’s capable of receiving BBC then you need a licence so they tell me............don’t know as I’ve never tried it!,,

Fire stick is probably the best idea. If not can you run it as a second monitor to a pc nearby and get iPlayer that way.

This, use the screen to mirror a laptop or desktop computer. Stick a list of daily tasks or emails or a shared document etc on it then if it happens to display youtube or iplayer........
