Twin disk pattern adjustments

I've got some spreading to do at 18m this year and need to do some tray work. The question is which thing to change first.

For example, if I find the pattern is too heavy close to the tramline I could:-

Lengthen the short vane
Increase angle of attack of short vane
Reduce the length of long vane
Decrease angle of attack of the long vane
Increase PTO revs

I include the last option as I will try maybe 450 rpm with the existing 24m settings to see how it looks.

This is a basic Kuhn MDS, so vane length, angle and PTO speed is the limit of adjustment. The book suggests different disks, but my ones OK down to 20m, so I'd like to see what I can achieve at 18.

going by the results of the tray test your manual or a phone call to kuhn will tell what adjustments to make. that was how we did it with amazone. tray test again after adjusting it, there are no shortcuts if you want to do it properly. :)

Does your Kuhn manual show the single pass test using 5 trays ?
