Can you give it a few more revs?
Air or fuel filter blocked?
I'm assuming everything turns freely.
Turbo boost pipe come off?
Stone trap full?

I think we need more info.

Thanks for all the replies so quick, unfortunately i cant get to combine until tomorrow. My Fathers been on it all day. The story goes its been fine all day. Just pulled up along side trailer to empty. Turned drum off whilst it was unloading and then wouldn't re-engage again. Drum turns but not easily although my Father doesn't have any strength in his wrists!

Drop the stone trap ,open the concave full hole and try it again with some revs ,,wonder if he stoped the drum before it ran clear
They automatically shut the revs when you engage the drum.

Sounds like a blockage somewhere. As others have said open everything up that you can and try manually with drum spanner. It should be slid in holder under diesel tank.

UPDATE: bearings on counter shaft failed. Also broke inner variator pulley which failed last year. Anyone offer any advise on how to prevent this going again other than the obvious grease. Also bought genuine pulley last year and am wondering whether to go non gen now which is half the price. Good idea?????

Replace with good quality bearing out of your local bearing shop. Not genuine, last genuine bearings I got from CNH, one made in poland and the other Hungary.

Any ideas how to identify what i need. I can't get any details of the old one for bearing to go non gen. I try manners for the rest of what i need.

If you cant make out any numbers a few measurements will do- ID,OD etc.
Bring whatever you can of the old bearing with you and they should have no bother matching it up.

Ah right ok, so did you go for new pulleys or second hand? My pulleys are fine but there is a bend in the shaft incan imagine it will be pricey new
