Hi all
What are the settings roughly for a tx34 in winter and spring barley? I don’t think I have deawning plates will this affect me ? Also which grove should the belt for the rotary separator be in ? Small outside grove or big inside for controlling the separator spreed

small only for larger grain crops: peas, beans, maize soya, sunflower but is used for oilseed rape, de-awning plates on winter barley or if difficult to thresh out, remember they will slow capacity down when fitted, concave 10mm at front and reduce to 8mm at back if not threshing out properly, drum speed high, remember to check threshed grain in tank and check behind to see what you are chucking out. have you not got the handbook as this will give basic setting's...

Deawning plates should be a fixture under the concave, two handles on the left hand side just swivel them round
Just had a look, yep, that's correct, them are the filler plates, but we had bolt on bars for barely that looked like a rasp bar and were bolted in on top of them, they were the business for getting the awns off.
