Type 1 stone volume

I’ve got to stone an area 50ft by 20ft with about 3 inch of type 1 limestone, how much do I roughly need to order to cover this area? Cheers

How much are paying ? bloody expensive here

I didn’t ask but when I last had a load I think it was about £15 for type 1 and about £20 for ballast. Does that sound about right?

Its ok if its going to be buried and covered but it often has a few unwanted nasty's left in that get past the magnets .

Very true there can be some metal in it. I usually top with dust or fine crush.

Where does yours come from ?

I have never asked where the quarry is, I just call the haulier. I expect it is Halkyn, North Wales.

Make sure you get primary material, in your area the tends to have incinerator Ash in it
