i would have thought no but what condition was the tire in. Possibly something stuck in it and the frost froze it tand when it melted the pressure put it out but that would be a long shot. what happen when you blew it up

I blew it up but its leaking around the valve I cant see anything else tyres hardly worn just thought it strange it would go down spontaneously if you know what I mean. I didn't fit the tyres so will see what awaits inside!

Is it tubed
tubeless
tyre pressure at low temperatures is much lower than at high temperature
so the tyre at cold temperature could have got low enough for the rim or valve seal to fail

I often find that tubeless tyres that have a slow leak say 1 psi a day at 15 psi when they get down to 8 psi suddenly go flat over night
12 psi at normal temperature of 14 to 20 c will be 8 psi at 0 c

I don't know at the moment never had an issue before with it so will find out next week. It is a valve with a screw thread on it tried to tighten it up a bit but not much different. Steel threaded one.
