To be honest, and I've said this before, I hate the dairy event at the NEC and I and many I speak to believe it's going down hill, stands were very spaced out there this year and trade stands questioning why they attend.
But Telford certainly isn't the right venue to stage an alternative, it's not big enough and did I mention the parking?
Someone suggested last year that Staffirdshire show ground would be a better venue. I have only been there once to a MF show so not too familiar with it, I'm sure there would be more room overall but I don't know if there would be as much indoor space. Not as handy to get to for me but parking would be less of an issue, someone must have picked up the bill for free parking in the public car parks at £3 a car.Where would suggest would make a better venue?
+1 for Stafford showground, however Holstein uk & CIS staff require lots of hotel roomsWhere would suggest would make a better venue?
There is quite a big building at Stafford, Agco have held a show there on at least one occasion as have Burgess. I have only been in the one large building there but there may well be others I don't know, there would certainly be plenty of outdoor space which may be better for suppliers of Ag machinery who want a big plot to exhibit several items of large machinery. I would imagine Stafford would be a cheaper venue to hire, maybe some large marquees could be put upI take it Stafford doesn't have a roof on though.
Quite like these shows with an indoor option. Not that I go to them mind.
Bingley Hall at Stafford showground would have been one of the biggest buildings on any showground in the country when it was built 35 years ago. It was big enough for ABBA to gig there at the height of their fame. Still a pretty big shed by anybody's standards.I take it Stafford doesn't have a roof on though.
