I am planning on taking some time off and going for a look see around your country this coming February. Looking for some input from y’all.

I’d like to meet some farmers, dairy primarily (have a good number of you on Snapchat) and see a friend over there. Plan is to fly to London and then go to Exeter where I will stay awhile and get a vehicle to drive. Likely head north from there.

Is there anything y’all would recommend seeing along the way? Farms, pubs, areas of interest etc. This would be my first time in the UK. I have little to no interest in cities or typical tourist sh!t. London will be a place to quickly get out of. Don’t care to wait in lines or anything of that nature. I enjoy seeing the country side, meeting new people and shooting the sh!t. My main interests are beer, women, farming, good food, history and nature.

Willing to do a milking or trim the odd cow if the mood strikes me, should anyone be interested and plans align. I love working and have only taken one trip where I didn’t work and found it dull after a few days. I’ll be over for a few weeks and maybe stop by Ireland on the way out.

Haven’t really planned everything out just yet and am really looking forward to getting away.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Is it that Positive Farmers thing in Ireland in February?

Depends how far north you get but when I get more time I certainly want to visit the Highlands.
Sadly the furthest north I've ever got is Edinburgh.
Speaking of Edinburgh, I know you want to avoid cities and people but the castle there is fairly impressive. Its gotta tick your history box.

Outdoorsy, there is a thing here called the three peaks challenge.
Which is climbing to the highest point in each of the 3 country's. There is probably a fourth in Ireland also.
The challenge is traditionally done in 24 hours, but no reason you can't do them as you travel around.

February may not be the best month for the above though.

You are welcome to visit, but I'm just a little farmer so a look round may take all of 10 minutes. Certainly does for farm assurance ?.
If you do visit, beer night is Friday? and curry night is Saturday:poop:.

Can't help with the women sadly, the wife would kill me:eek:

If your going to Exeter, you will be near some beautiful coastline, cliffs and beaches along the north Devon and especially north Cornwall coast. Also won’t be too far from me and tin mining country

Im just a few miles form Exeter, not dairy but will be in the full flow of lambing then if you want to drop by.

Also have a good friend a couple miles away milking about 400. Hes just finished calving so palour will be flat out. Hes also diversified into ice cream and tourism on the farm though that will be shut for the winter now, but still interesting to see.

If looking for places to eat in or around Exeter let me know.
