Uncollected grain

Contact your merchant and they will usually offer an extra 1£/t for the 'carry' from October into November.
It might be possible to negotiate a bit more, let us know how it goes.

Edit: if the late uplift is going to cause a cashflow issue then mention it to the merchant and they might well offer to speed up the usual 28 day payment period to 14 days or there abouts. 'Fair play' goes both ways.

I agree you should get a carry, but not sure why we are all accepting £1/t month? It was £1/t when wheat was worth £70/t back in 20thCentury. Before some knowledgeable member points to higher interest rates back in the 1990's, there is still extra risk storing it longer and there is often a reason why we choose a month to move something.
Just look at Nitram pricing and the cost for an extra month.
Doesn't matter if price has gone UP or DOWN, that is irrelevant. You were happy with the price on the day, but.....
we surely should be asking for at least £2/t/mth for risk alone?

Which home is in a rush to use their forward bought stock?
- Just wondering if Ensus is running itself down to yet another closure due to price...

But are l they paying 21 days after the last load on the contract is delivered or pay on part contract! A mid march payment for October grain would make me nervous.
