Unlocking Value: Waste Into Worth Through Modular Anaerobic Digestion?

Introduction

Hi all, this thread is part of my masters research into SSAD - below is a information sheet about my dissertation and then a link to the Questionnaire.
If you have the time please read over it and then complete the form.

Exploring the Environmental and Economic Viability of Modular Small Scale Anaerobic Digestion Facilities in small scale rural farms.

You are being invited to take part in a research project. Before you decide, it is important for you to understand why this research is being done and what it will involve. Please take time to read the following information and discuss it with others if you wish. Ask if there is anything that is not clear or if you would like more information. Thank you for taking time to read this.

Who am I and what is the purpose of this project?
I am William Crewe-Turrell, a current post graduate at UCEM studying a masters in Building Surveying whilst also working at AMZCO as lead design engineer and head of all SSAD projects. This research I am doing is forming part of my dissertation as well as valuable insight for my job.

My research aim is to assesses the environmental and economic feasibility of modular anaerobic digestion systems on small-scale rural farms in Europe, also aiming to evaluate their potential contribution to BioGas production and addressing the region's energy challenges.

What will happen to the results of the research study?
The dissertation will be marked and assessed by UCEM and after 3 months post results all data collected as part of this research will be disposed of in line with GDPR.

What do I need?
You will be asked questions surrounding your farms type, energy, heat, fuels so it would be advised to have things such as bills and commercial data readily accessible when filling out the form.

Do I have to take part?
Your participation in the research is completely voluntary and you are well within your liberty to withdraw at any time without prejudice or negative consequences.

What do I have to do?

Participants will be given a questionnaire to fill out on the topic of SSAD and further context of my research.
Completing any questionnaires may take around 10-20 minutes per form.
Your participation in these activities will contribute valuable insights to the research aimed at evaluating the potential economic and environmental viability for BioGas production on small-scale rural farms across Europe.

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to taking part?
Participation in the project offers potential advantages such as contributing to research and sustainable energy, but it also poses risks like time commitments and technical challenges for those considering involvement.

Please test your questionnaire before publishing. The question which asks whether you have a bill for heating, and if you say no the next question asks to upload the bill, and will not proceed without an upload.
The question on percentage fertiliser as synthetic or organic does not say whether you are looking at weight or volume, fresh or dry matter, N content or P content or K content.
A very poor standard for a postgrad.

Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention. I truly appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration.

Regarding the heating bill question, it seems there was an oversight in the logic flow. We have corrected this so that respondents who do not have a heating bill will no longer be prompted to upload one. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

As for the fertiliser question, we understand the importance of clarity in such matters. Our intention was to gather a general sense of the fertiliser usage rather than precise details. However, we recognize that the question could have been clearer and less ambiguous. We've revised the wording to ensure it accurately reflects our aim and reduces any confusion.

Thank you again for your patience and for helping me improve the quality of my questionnaire. Your feedback is invaluable, and I am committed to maintaining high standards in my research work. If you have any further suggestions or concerns, please feel free to share.
