Cheering us all up :D

But I think I would wait for the AZ Oxford vaccine if I was in the UK. I don't entirely trust Pfizer and the MHPRA seems to have just rubber stamped the approval, presumably having been lent on by the Government. The AZ Oxford vaccine seems to have had a better trial protocol and this is also showing that it is preventing the transmission of the infection which we can't be sure with the Pfizer one atm. :scratchhead:

Keep hearing that no shortcuts were taken and they just did all the research work simultaneously. Yet it appears the drug companies have done a deal so they aren't responsible for any side affects.

If there were no shortcuts and they know its safe why do they need this?

Of course anyone hesitating or asking questions about this is an uneducated idiot.

In reality there will always be some people who suffer adverse reactions for one reason or another with any drug or vaccine. Pfizer will be well aware that in vaccinating millions of people they potentially could face hundreds of legal claims. In the rush their seems to have been little investigation (or made public) into the safety of the vaccine in many outlying areas like lactating mothers or during pregnancy, particularly in the embryonic and early fetal stages

Interestingly, the big pharma companies have insisted that governments take responsibility for any covid vaccine damage as they have rushed these through in 10 months rather than the normal 10 years and therefore want to take no responsibility if you end up a vegetable.

Looks like our beloved government are trying to cap their liability before any sh!t hits the fan

I dont know why the government are pushing this so hard

Except that covid19 isn't listed in the qualifying diseases and you can bet that the Coronavirus Act will have included vaccination indemnity for the government and vaccine producers, distrubutors and adminstrators.

You could get a payment if youā€™re severely disabled and your disability was caused by vaccination against any of the following diseases:
  • diphtheria
  • haemophilus influenzae type B (HIB)
  • human papillomavirus
  • influenza, except for influenza caused by a pandemic influenza virus
  • measles
  • meningococcal group B (meningitis B)
  • meningococcal group C (meningitis C)
  • meningococcal group W (meningitis W)
  • mumps
  • pandemic influenza A (H1N1) 2009 (swine flu) - up to 31 August 2010
  • pertussis (whooping cough)
  • pneumococcal infection
  • poliomyelitis
  • rotavirus
  • rubella (German measles)
  • smallpox - up to 1 August 1971
  • tetanus
  • tuberculosis (TB)

I know they love a u turn but going back on this wouldn't do the uptake any favours.

It should, it takes away the need for anyone who has issues afterwards, the need to prove it was caused by the vaccine, same as other vaccines in the UK.
It is something the country should take up as a whole for all claims, currently have good friend with son, who was brain damaged at birth. Because all the doctors nurses etc. have sworn, got records ;) etc to prove they did everything correct cannot get any real help for his care. Lad is now 30 quadraplegic cannot speak etc. Him and his parents, have had their lives ruined. In other similar cases where the staff did not get chance to cover up play outs have been several million, and for the lawyers even more!
All treatments have a very remote risk of allergic reaction perhaps 1 in a hundred thousand perhaps 1 in 10,000,000 but we have to recognise it does occasionally happen. Look on any bottle of medicine there is a warning as long as your arm, about possible risks.
Cholera jab is well known for its dangers , but many millions of travellers take it as the dangers of the disease are so many times worse, but I believe if it was introduced here today there would be a huge outcry from the anti vaxxers and in the UK I would agree with them. But I have taken it and yellow fever another not so safe vaccine
