I have a hydraulic ram which has a metric end on it to attach the hydraulic hose. I need to modify the hose pipework.
Metric fittings are same as those fitted on power washers, they have rubber seals in them. See pic
Should I remove that metric end and replace with bsp or is there a reason...
I have quite a few youngsters help me at various times of year. Vet students, 15 year old work experience kids, ag college students, the odd NEET from the county council.

Heard this said plenty of times, but really if you have a small farm turning over a relatively small amount say £1-200k you are only ever going to be able to make so much money no matter how efficient you are or how well you sell your produce. The only way to increase profits is to increase...

Recently bought some tenanted land. On visiting it today, I found this ewe clamped over a lamb. She had no water. There was no-one on site.
This looks completely unacceptable. Who better to ask than TFF.
Hi, does anybody know anything about legal obligations of a scheduled monument. We’ve got one and some local dogooders are trying to find out about it. At this stage they’ve had it on local social media, taken pictures with a drone and then trespassed on foot to it as there’s no public footpath...

I’m next door to a rewetting project that’s a combined effort or “non effort” between the Forestry Commission, Natural England and the Wolds Chalk Stream project or something like that.
And I’m fairly angry about it as fetid stinking water is sometimes pouring across their plantations onto the...
I ask the above as @Farmer dyke and @Gerbert, have explained in answer to my thread “River/dyke cleaning,Question for farmers in Holland/Netherlands, that the “Waterboards”, dictate how waterways must be “Cleaned”.
So repeating my self, why is the UK Environment Agency so so opposed, hell bent...

Just seen on twitter that HMRC are to re classify crew cabs as cars for employees. As a Ltd Co. reckon it's back to pickups and wee vans. However the cost of them will maybe have stifled demand as it is. Best get the wax oil out and look after my current Hilux...
Hi there,
I'm looking to host a two day party in July 2024. I was looking either for people who are interested in renting out field space or woodland to talk with, or general advice about the best way to get in touch with people who are looking to rent out space.
The team who are behind...
Two weeks ago I asked for volunteers to help organise a farmers protest. To make the risk-reward of farming worthwhile.
JUST ONE FARMER STEPPED FORWARD!
In the face of this level of apathy I give up on trying to get (English) farmers to do anything.
Indeed, the vast majority of comments on...
