Vacuum pulsator fault

Anyone with experience of these? It's a delaval 958580 off our dump can. Stopped working during hard frost, so I stripped it down, cleaned it up and reassembled. It works but pulses really fast, I can't see any adjustment on it, is it worth trying to get a service kit or best getting a new one?

Older ones don't have adjustment
Newer ones do.

DeLaval pulsator HP102 is supplied pre-adjusted to give 60 ppm at 50 kPa. If a lower installation vacuum is used, the pulsator can be re-adjusted to give the same pulsation rate. Deviation can be adjusted by turning the spindle. This adjustment should be made by a DeLaval service engineer

Have you degreased it? Maybe running quicker because of that.

Been a few years since we've milked but I think it was a yellowish translucent grease of sorts, probably food safe too.

On the slider and where the springs contact for sure, not sure about inside.

Yeah saw that one, commentary would have been useful rather than the backing music they seem to have lifted from a low budget adult movie

You can try sewing machine oil , or if its still too fast ,put something a bit thicker on
I have got 4 or 5 old Manus pulsators like that from the days we milked on a pipeline somewhere !
