Valtra service codes

Anyone know of a way of getting the meaning of the Valtra service codes without going to the dealer? I don't want to get charged a call out fee / diagnostic fee just to get an idea what the codes mean.

I have the service and operators manuals and the codes aren't in either that are being displayed.

I know three of the codes relate to the electronic spools as they only come on when I turn on the hydraulics.

The other two codes are the ones I'm interested in.

They are 0007056-02-047 and 0007500-13-047

The tractors a Valtra T171 2009. It's not going into safe mode or anything like that so I'm using as per normal, but I want to know what the codes mean as could be something that might cause a problem down the line.

The ones I think are hydraulic related are:

298994-12-136
298991-07-132

Looking at the codes I think the first number is the component or system and the second and third numbers are about the fault. Might be completely wrong though.

Phone the dealer , he won't charge for talking on the phone and tell you what they are , it might a valtra mecanic to sort it out anyway.

I want to avoid phoning as said in original post as I usually get charged for this. Point of principle too that all service code meaning should be available to the owner. I have a valtra 8150 and it's simply brilliant. This T171 has more sensors than a space satellite. For instance I took the electronic spool apart and it's a fully resined unit. £600 each for the pleasure. A couple of solenoid valves and a bit of control circuit... I question whether the valtra mechs really understand the issues and then each fault is charged at 3+ hours where the first couple of hours are contacting someone in the know to learn what is wrong.

You'll find that the error codes in the handbook are out of date before you receive the tractor.
Your dealer should tell you what they are for free !

Do you have auto comfort?

On 174 the 2 codes refer to cabin level well if second code is 7050 not 7500. First indicates possible short circuit in right damper.


132 refers to aux valve 4
136 is valve 8?

Again codes I have are for the “4” series so may not correspond.

Last 3 numbers are the component.

As said before. Ring dealer, they shouldn’t charge you just for telling you. Or ask for a copy of the codes. That’s what I did [emoji16]

Thanks Spear, spot on, yes there is autocomfort and I'm currently in the middle of trying to fix it as the cab is going up and down like you know what! That was one fault I've asked to be fixed by the dealer a couple of times and it's never been fixed properly. I think there was a problem with it before I got the tractor as there is a new solenoid that has been cable tied onto the solenoid block underneath the cab. I've just stripped them off in the last hour so looks like there is problem with one of them passing. Cheers, I will ask for a copy of the codes and see where it goes!!

Cannot understand why the error codes are not immediately accessible to the operator.

Wow, finally got to experience the comfort of Autocomfort after owning the tractor for 3+ years!! Whatever dodge the previous owner and dealer had botched up was anyone's guess. They had swapped the connectors so the inflate signal was going to the deflate solenoid and vice versa so no wonder it was getting in a twist. Also one of the solenoid valves was leaking badly even when no power on so swapped it out for the one that the dealer had disconnected and changed it to the deflate side and put the newer valve on the inflate side (so it would cope with full compressor pressure better). Finally, both front and back inflated to mid position and took it for a nice spin to experience. The 7050 code (you were right ) disappeared but I'm getting the 7056 code, but everything seems ok. I wonder what the short circuit in the right damper is, as the inflate position sensor is on the left hand side on both front and rear. Cheers again for the help, much appreciated.

Sister company in the AGCO stable, Fendt publish all their error codes in the (paper based) owners manuals. There are typically 4 or 5 books in the owners manual “set”. Reasonably comprehensive I would say.

My beef is that they should all be available in searchable electronic PDF format for your phone. Some are (for example the guidance) and some aren’t.

Saying that there are reasonable “context sensitive” help pages available on the main screen/terminal.

PDF is annoying at times.. a simple app they can update easily and a option for you to type in a code for instant finding would be loads better
