Looking into making a lime spreader variable rate with live weight cells with the Griffith Elder system, Is anyone running this system with Trimble or Greenstar?? Or is there any other options I need to investigate?

Looking at the spec sheets i would say it is not possible. Best option would be to contact Griffith Elder direct. In 13 years of precision farming i have never come across any of there products doing variable rate..

Have been intouch with them, initially to make a lime spreader on the move auto rate calibrate from weigh cells as I spread alot of low rate products. For not alot extra they can upgrade to the WS4 indicator which is compatible with trimble, ISOYL and LH5000 to allow me to to VR. From what I can find the GPS terminal whatever make it is connects to the implement controller via RS232 connection. After that I'm stumped.

RDS Athene system could do exactly what you require, complete with load cell interface etc. Fully ISOBUS with on the move calibration and variable rate via ISO task controller. Could be worth a call!

Already tried that.. RDS wont sell the controller direct as its developed for manufacturers. Awaying to here if some of the spreader companies would be willing to sell me one out the side door with cells and valves

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
