Vasil Nerve in Cow Damage?

suckler cow, not in calf, noticed not eating as much or cudding, when all the cattle were housed, had vet out to look at another animal and at same time look at this one to try to see whats wrong and treatment, have been giving one steriod injection every week for last couple of weeks, seems to have helped now outside on fresh grass, saw other evening it was sitting cudding, i wonder if its on the way now of getting better ? i understand that the vasil nerve controls the rumen function, anyone else had similar and comments please on the treatment, outcome please?
