Whats the secret formula to get an even spread round the dykeside sward. First run round only applies 1/2 rate towards the hedge. Do you over lap to last run or sow wider with little overlap ?

How does it work?can get a headland spout....i got one for FA ....means changing spouts to do bout next the hedge....i might know where there's one for sale ? ?
How does it work?
Problem with this is fertiliser gets thrown too far on the inside then causing underdosing on the first inside track. We used to tilt the spreader over a bit by winding the tractor levelling box so the fert hit the ground before it hit the hedge on the outside round.
Do you then reduce application rate by 50% and drive close to hedge?shaped a bit like a gutter downpipe outlet so fert only comes out one side

i've gotta hold my hands up....i never used it much....i just used to show it to FA bloke ? .......when i did use it you just drove in the tramline as normal....you would have to reduce rate
Not bigly worried it's just that I pondered this same problem myself. Finally solved it years ago by buying a twin disc.Well it satisfied the inspector for many a year when he asked how we keep fertiliser out of the shuch.
If it worries you, drive with next run right the field in opposite direction but keep the tilt the same. Overlap should even it up.
