So let me see , it's ok to use a tractor or hay rake so long as they are not fitted with pneumatic tyres but it's ok if the baler (Or the bogie that carries the engine that powers it) has them?:unsure: I can never get my head around Amish logic but oh well each to their own.

I thought it was the Mennonite who had an aversion to tyres on the land, so far as I know that actually isn’t true as there are many sects with different variations of conservatism.

In short they seem to make it up as they go, they are however entitled to live their life as they please even if it does like like nonsense to me.

In all fairness they do seem an industrious lot, unlike that lazy good for nothing British drop out!

The rules are whatever their church group/community/elders/Bishop decides. There isn’t any logic applied to it that I can see. The rules are the rules and that’s that.

Interesting people though who are rapidly moving away from farming.
