Video conferencing / chat computer programs?

I would like to be able to have a video chat to friends in Canada, and my nephew in Australia.
If any of you talk to friends, relations , and to people across the world in connection with your business what computer program do you use.

zoom, google hangouts or teams

You could all use whattsapp, there’s a desktop client and then you could talk on your phone or computer as it suits you.

Family whatsapp, i do fairly frequent calls to canada and have a daughter travelling at the mo it’s perfect for that. Business tends to be teams or zoom, have been known to do a zoom meeting in a field when i can’t get back to the office.

Sister in law currently in South Africa visiting her brother. I knew she had taken her iPad, so made a Facetime call on Saturday and had a long chat with all of them. Completely free, and it was as though they were just next door (except for the weather!)

Yes, you need iPad or iPhone.

I've used Skype for a long time for talking to my offspring, it works for me. Maybe it's a bit old hat now, but I've no knowledge of the other things.
