Virtual meeting technology

Many of us have had to use technology for virtual meetings for our businesses.

Which have you found the best so far?

Zoom does the job.
Whichever you use, a word from the wise: Make sure there's no undies hanging from the airer behind you, will earn you a load of sarky comments and a clip round the ear.

How do you see multiple people on a phone?
Can you make notes on screen? Share documents and photos to everyone on the call?

I was on a virtual farm walk on teams and it worked really well.
Over 100 participants.

Zoom, Skype and WApp - no favourite, all have done what intended - group size from 1 to 50

Usually a "meeting" is just that you "meet" people. A phone call is a call, where you "speak" to someone unless of course it's a video call.
Depends if you can actually write or to add to that spell!
It's a dying art that's for sure.

You don't actually meet people in a virtual meeting you see them on a screen much like telly
I have seen Clint Eastwood on a screen loads of times but never met him

We've found Teams not asgood for large groups (10+), Zoom copes well with any number. Can't get over the impersonality of it though.

Formal meeting, informal meeting, virtual meeting, phone call or chat on TFF, Some people will be more comfortable with one of conversing and some people with another.

In a meeting you can converse and interact with people.
Television is for receive only.

Certainly much easier to do collaborative work when you're all able to share documents/ look at the same pictures etc., although phone calls are okay for just a chat. Zoom seems to be the best I've found so far, but no real experience of Teams. Skype doesn't have as good quality of sound, I've found.

It is, but the ability to pick up on visual as well as aural cues, plus know that you're all looking at exactly the same thing is very useful. It's night and day to a phone call, and can be just as effective as sharing a physical meeting room

Zoom is best here, herself uses Microsoft teams for teaching. GoToMeeting was another one that worked OK. Adobe Connect was a disaster for the limited bandwidth I have access to, with a significantly better connection it would be good too though.

Teams for everything now, used to be gotomeeting which was great but now teams is part of Office 365 we have to use it.
Zoom is ok but the time limited stuff is a pain for anything commercial

Just checked and have 16 meetings this week and all teams

I'm not sure my half formed micro dairy or egg laying enterprises will contribute much to his world domination agenda, but I might be wrong ?‍

Had zoom Parish council meeting ,not the same cant chat to person sat next to you, but can browse ebay at the same time
