Swapped filter housing and filters all good now

Turns out it's not fixed issue seams related to direction its parked

What’s the fuel line condition from lift pump? They may have become porous and letting air in.

Just thinking out of the box here !!! is this a common rail engine?
I spend most of my days in a Sandvik LH621 with a Volvo TAD1344VE and have had this problem in the past, the solution was to repair a broken wire ..... what the wire went to or what it did I was never told but something to do with the fuel priming pump. They are fitted with a secondary mechanical pump but this was not the problem.

Lift pump would be the next suspect, if it’s losing its prime and the pipes, fittings and filters are all kosher

Is it still bad to start when the fuel tank is full? In theory the fuel level should be higher than the engine and it shouldn’t run back to tank.
I expect the lift pump is ran off the fan belt same as the Fendt tractors?

Yes It will be a green painted Deutz 4-cylinder in the Volvo but will be labelled up as a Volvo D unit.

If there’s plenty fuel at the engine check the stop solenoid ( I’m assuming it’s non common rail?)

2006 looks like something is draining the filter on the engine

Sombody has suggested its because the filters aren't volvo ones. Looks like I may need to get some to try

Fixed it now was the high pressure fuel pump
