As title anyone any knowledge before i buy one ??
Been hiring a 1t high tip , hydro , and finding it amazingly useful. Then spotted this peljob for sale....... the pel has gears , clutch apparently. Hire one badged ' lifton ' is forward, reverse stalk are throttle, hydrostatic. Oil motor on each hub .
1 for sale i believe is more standard transmission.

Not a bad little bus, just check it isn't completely worn out like the pivot bushes etc.

Check the gearbox isn't noisy and selects gears ok, should be a 3 speed + reverse, I can guarantee the gearbox oil will have water in it unless recently changed.
They're just a bog standard newage box but parts are dear.

The borrowed one is very loose in all pins .

I’d walk away from it.the clutches get abused like you would not beleive and centre pivots are pretty much allways knackered,as are steering ram bushes.I’ve used them and when you stop and put your foot on the brake it can be like being in a boat on rough sea.

Viewed today, no deal done .
Pins all tight enough, basically ok , not really feeling it . In my mind 2 ,5 k his lowest is 3k .
Another 1 local listed as new clutch installed 3.3 k . Dealer.
Going to view when he replies.

If you do buy it get a set of thwaites 1ton dumper tyres fitted ! I think it’s the same studs you just need a washer to miss the mudguard ! It’ll make it much more stable

The dude today had upgraded to newer dumper .it had wider tyres about 9" , same as on hydra model sat in my yard . Hire one .
We reconded they'd fit the pell. If that makes sense.

3k for ones old enough to be gears and clutch no thanks. Take the jump forward to a neuson 1001 for not much more than a grand more. If you have any distance to travel the neusons are twice as quick as the older hydro liftons (don't know if clutch versions are same speed).
Also neusons have a park brake which works.
