We have introduced a default 20mph speed limit on restricted roads across Wales.

No one obeys the 20 limit in our old village.

Yes. I know schools have always been a special case. I am saying it's quite right to extend it to the rest of town.
Presumably you ride a bike , 20 mph is actually quite difficult

I think it's fecking ludicrous. Do you see dead bodies strewn across the pavement where predestrians have been hit at 30mph every time you drive around town? No
It's driver awareness of unpredictable predestrians that cause collisions. The 30mph limit is acceptable in most developed countries but Drakeford wants to control people. Isn't it costing 30odd million to change the signs? I bet that money could be better spent on the disadvantaged in Wales.

All this speed is simply what we’ve become accustomed to and there’s no harm doing 20 in the confines of a village is there?

It's not even in just towns and villages. Some rural areas have 30 zones for miles. It's overkill
It’s bad law because it’s virtually unenforceable
It’s a day trip to get to Llanelli from Carmarthen or Cross Hands!

It's enforced in Scotland. Quite often have spells of campaigns by police with camera guns. Most residential areas in local towns are 20 now. Even talk of lower still within 500m of schools.
that will slow down the 50k tractors
Have heard of a few tractor drivers booked for speeding.
I got stopped for speeding with the tractor but got let off when I told him I didn't know it would go that fast
