Warts on Teats

I have a few cows with warts on teats which I would like to get rid of, Ive never been able to buy anything which will remove them.

Anyone any ideas ? Its the right time to do it now, drying off cows so udders will be idle for a while

the pulling off trick has failed miserably

Had verucas removed from my feet last year, the doctor says it is essential to file them down to the point of bleeding and then treat them, Im almost thinking of doing that with these warts and then giving them a small touch with caustic

Try everything, all at the same time .
There is no clear cut answer.
I would do the following, depending on size and type of wart -
Pull off any that will.
Squeeze one or two bigger ones with pliers to make them bleed internally, the idea being this promotes, an immune response similar to vaccination.
Tie thread around larger ones( or rubber ring) to cut off blood supply , and pull off in a few weeks.
Treat group of animals for mange / lice to try and reduce spread of virus to other animals.
If they are still bad at calving , cull , it will only be a pain to milk , probably prone to mastitis , and a risk of spreading to other animals.

Never tried freezing or caustic treatment.

We have had them for years but this year we changed our dip and they all went away. We changed the dip because it was on special offer at the time.
It's called Fortress

The DairyLac SA is now on sale direct from factory to farm. http://fourtress.co.uk/product/dairylac-sa
There is also a competition in Dairy Farmer this month, enter to win an IBC of DairyLac SA and all entrants that want it can receive a free sample of DairyLac SA. Its a super job for warts, fly-control and bacteria kill.
