Anyone recommend any good weather apps I have BBC on me phone but it keeps changing the forecast for the day every time I look at it or are they all useless as each other?
BBC is great. It is 100% wrong so you always know what the weather isn't going to do. The summary is my favourite. I'd it tells you sunny for the day then the detail will always have rain. A weather stone is more use.
Rain Today (paid app, not freebee or web version) has 5 minute resolution rain radar - excellent for spraying
My favourite is 'Windfinder Pro' again its a paid (1 time) app but has their hourly 'super forecast', and a page for live measurements from the nearest met office weather station, showing a graph of hourly wind trend and lots of other useful stats. You can also set your location to generate it's own forecast.
The problem I guess, is that all of these apps probably use the same data feed (GFS?) so although the interface changes, the data is usually identical : 'RI-RO'.
They all have issues which are better or worse depending on the data they feed. Wunderground for example taps into user weather stations. If some of them go out of kilter the code will struggle. I tend to use 3-4 apps and ho for a sort of average . If 2 are pointing at roughly same weather pattern - good chance.
