Does anyone know where you can obtain rainfall data or temp data for different areas?

Our local chap in Newmarket that has been recording since 1986 and recorded some interesting trends has stopped and I'm after some more local data?

The met office website seems impossible to navigate for anything like this and I'm sure expensive too!

Raising this one from the dead!

Is there a way of getting official data going back a year? Looking for monthly totals rather than daily data. There must be a source somewhere.

Thanks

You could try contacting the Met office .. or local airfields?

Wunderground is another possibility heres a link to a station near eastbourne for example.

or try here... http://www.weatherlink.com/map.php

Obviously these are amateur stations for the main part

Thanks. Looking for some proper data really, uncle always used to keep a rain pot and send the numbers off to somewhere. Wondering who holds all this data, it is quite important to various people and organisations after all.

@farmerfred86 This is the metoffice guerilla website - it is local people that have weather stations that can upload their figures.
Not official, just someone's good idea that a senior person conveniently forget to prohibit - and altogether rather useful.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
