Wednesday Farmers Forecast; some Heavy showers, most stay dry

Most places will start Wednesday dry and fine. England and Wales keep it dry for much of the day but Scotland and Northern Ireland turns wet and windy during Wednesday afternoon and evening. Wing gusts of 55/65 MPH are possible, you have been warned. High of 20C/68F

It had to happen and as we at metjeffuk have been giving you the heads up now for sometime the weather is now on a change to more changeable and cooler weather with Atlantic weather systems the first for sometime start moving into the country bringing some proper wet and windy weather and
looking ahead and it is looking very unsettled with a lot of wind and rain which could be heavy at times ,but some sun too.​

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
